No stranger to racing, Avery, Dusty's dad, is the perfect person to be named manager of the Vinson Truck team.  Avery raced at Toccoa Speedway, Lavonia Speedway and Hartwell Speedways in Georgia along with Westminster Speedway and Rainbow Speedways in North and South Carolina.  Avery had over 25 years of experience in all aspects of racing.  Avery not only drove his race cars but he was the car builder and chief mechanic as well.  He built each of Dusty's cars earlier cars and those cars have been winners.

Gary McCoy - Crew Chief & Chassis Specialist

As the owner of Southern Flyer Race Cars, Gary is one of the most qualified chassis men in the nation.  Gary has built race cars and trucks that have won numerous championships.  As a NASCAR Gold Wrench Mechanic of the Year winner for 7 years, Gary's expertise is well known in all areas of racing. Gary has 30 years experience in both building and driving winning cars.  As an indicator of Dusty's potential, Gary, who has been racing in the Winston Cup Series, recognized Dusty's talent and believes in Dusty so much that he has put his own career on hold this year in order to become Crew Chief and help groom Dusty for Winston Cup and NASCAR.  You will be seeing more of Dusty. Avery Vinson - Manager & Backup Driver

Steve Vinson -- Tire Specialist

Steve's knowledge in tire selection and spring and shock combinations is a definite plus for Dusty.  Steve has been working with his brother since his beginning racing days.  Steve is another fine product of the Vinson racing tradition.

Karen Vinson - Scoring and Timing

One of the important aspects of testing is knowing whether you get faster or slower with each setup change.  Karen along with her husband Avery, knows how important good information can be.  Good information gives the Vinson team that extra competitive edge.
