With so many sports marketing and sponsorship
opportunities available, why choose motorsports?
Two simple words. COST EFFECTIVE!
With the combination of large quantities of live and television viewers
and the brand loyalty of those viewers, motorsports is an advertising medium
that cannot be beat. Participation in the PARTS Pro Truck Series provides
the opportunity for McCoy Motorsports to do some national level advertising.
Each of the PARTS races are
broadcast over television and radio and are attended by thousands of people!
"America's #1 Spectator
Sport"
This one phrase says a
great deal about the impact of motorsports on the American audience.
Auto Racing is the world’s most popular spectator sport.
It also expresses the importance
of targeted marketing. The Busch Grand national and Craftsman Truck Series
of NASCAR showcase hundreds of companies who invest over $1 Million each.
There were an estimated 50 billion televised impressions
in 1997. In the United States, motorsports had the highest number
of live spectators of any sport, over 15 million tickets sold! That is
more than Major League Baseball (MLB), the National Basketball Association
(NBA), or the National Football League (NFL).
What kind of products
and services are we talking about?
Toys, household items,
movies, collectibles, electronics, tools, motor oil, candy, Internet search
engines, banks, mortgage and insurance companies, cars and trucks, paint,
cereal, beer, gasoline, phone services, soda, tobacco, guns, automotive
parts, restaurants, film, and the list goes on.
Basically, the demographics
of motorsports spectators shows, definitively, that any product or service
can benefit in a sport that is being seen by more fans than any other.
What is the marketing
media?
From television and radio,
to printed media and billboard advertisements, motorsports marketing is
hitting home. Parents and children are gathering in the family room on
weekends to cheer on their favorite drivers in this sport filled with speed
and horsepower. Not only are they viewing a race, but 100 mph+ rolling
billboards promote
products directly and indirectly
relating to the sport. With the advent of cable/satellite
television and automotive periodicals, media coverage of motorsports has
grown over 1000% in the last ten years. In 1998 more racing events
will be televised than ever before. In 1999, McCoy Motorsports will be
competeing in the full PARTS Pro Truck
schedule. With a Racing Truck, a backup truck that will be used as a Show
Truck unless needed for a race, and enough spare parts to build another
complete truck, MMS has the equipment to be ready for every race.
This will provide us with many tools to use to advertise and market the
products of a sponsor. The rewards of sponsorship onvolvement do
not stop at the speedway or victory lane. The media follows racing
all season long, further enhancing your company's exposure through TV,
radio, newspaper, and specialty publications. This year all of our
races will be televised on SpeedVision
and FoxSports.
Opportunity Exists
for Your Business
Every weekend the same
fans who watch on television venture out to their local and regional tracks
to see a racing show in person. The tracks are smaller and there are fewer
cars per race, but there are often more races to be seen, hence, more cars
on display. One thing that doesn't change is the loyalty that these
fans have to their drivers and the businesses that they represent. Race
fans are the most loyal of all spectator sports in existence. They are
going to opt for that product they saw on Saturday and Sunday more than
any other brand name.
We would like to help
you with a marketing program for your business that takes full benefit
of the loyal fans/consumers that exist in motorsports. McCoy Motorsports
has the skilled drivers and crews to win the PARTS Pro Truck Rookie of
the Year Championship and get first class visibility for your company or
product along the way. We can customize a marketing strategy
to meet your level of participation.
